So what needs to be done to not get any CEL's w/ this mod? I want to get one for my HHR but don't have the cash for the DP and a $400 tune.

 

I don't think these work on the HHR. It needs to be longer to fit that vehicle.

 

I have heard they are interchangeable with the HHR w/ the 5 speed.

 

I've heard they don't fit but I'd happily sell you one if you wanted one. If you don't get tuned you would need to run a defouler to keep from getting a CEL. And even that is not a guarantee. You should really get tuned to turn off the CEL, but keep in mind that you are not hurting anything with the CEL on. It's just annoying. The car will learn down the DP eventually though so you would need a tune to see any real gain from it.

 

I thought the learn down feature was disabled if you have the GM Stage kit. I am checking with another HHR owner that has a catless DP to see if it will fit.
