Basic bolt ons and with a tune ?

I have an 09 ss and started thinking about basic bolt ons. Do you need a tune once basic bolts on are on or is it safe to run with factory? I do not want to void warranty with a tune, basic bolt ons don't void the warranty do they? Whats beast bang for buck without voiding warranty if possible? thanks

Anything can void the warranty. The best bang for the buck out there is by far a tune...but that also voids the warranty. If the warranty is a must wait 6 months until the GM stage kits come out

If I were you I would PM GTPprix, he sales spare ECU's. Keep your factory one for warranty and get a tune on the spare one. That is what I did and the dealership hasnt said anything and it has been in for work before.

Basic bolt ons aren't going to do a thing but change the sound of the car without a tune. The stock tune will "learn" the bolt ons and de-tune your car to maintain factory tq levels.

Theres a thread about this and ppl said they can tell you swapped it out and you start have problems because mileage is incorrect

And so basically its not worth buying an intake, exhaust, inter-cooler piping etc unless i get a tune? And when you said about learning the mods and will tune it to keep factory tq so basically its making the car run rougher/shittier?

Not to be a doushbag, but I have a spare ECU and the mileage is actually in the Body Control Module (BCM) not the ECU so mileage is not an issue. Link to anyone having issues?

If you change anything, there is a chance you will be denied warranty service. If you change nothing, there is a chance you will be denied warranty service.

Thinking you will be covered with a GM Stage 1 kit is also a pipe dream. They'll just use that kit to figure out who the "abusers" are.
