Best rotated trans mounts?

Hey everyone. I'm sick of the wheel spin I get from my TC and u was hoping that getting new trans mounts would do the trick. . See that OTTP, Powell, prs, avid, zzp etc all make them.

My question is which is the community favorite, and what should I be looking for when deciding between one versus the other?

Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you won't get much, if any, help from rotated mounts for your wheel spin.
Rotated trans. mounts are designed to help with wheel-hop and axle bind.
Better tires and easing up on the throttle a little bit will help with the spinning though.

As far as good mounts goes, Powell is the best quality but also most expensive (you get what you pay for, though, in this situation), and OTTP has a decent mount for a good price, but they may deteriorate quicker than Powell's (again, you get what you pay for), I know mine have and I will be switching to Powell's here shortly.

ZZP's mounts are also good, they use them on their own cars, but I don't have any experience with their mounts, though, so I can't say if there are any cons to them.

Also, I'm no expert on mounts, so do some searching around and see what others think of the different mounts.

u are correct they wont stop wheel spin they jus help wheel hop mainly...but i have the zzp's and i have no issues with them and im sure powells are the same way, like i said IMO all it comes down to is choosing a brand name cuz they both do the same thing and dont seem to out perform eachother with them but correct me if im wrong im open to corrections i dont want to be giving false info

Sorry, my post wasn't directed at you, so I apologize if you took it that way, and I was just comparing the mount materials not their performance capabilities since they all do the same thing, like you said.

Also, OP, whichever mounts you go with, they are definitely worth it, I have had absolutely no hop since they went in.

I am using the OTTP mounts, no complaints at all. I do not get wheel hop anymore and the tires do seem to spin less.

Our mount bushings are warrantied against breaking down. We possibly had a bad batch of bushings so we extended the warranty on them to 2 years and lifetime on the aluminum. If you are past 2 years we sell bushings for $6 a piece.

esink, if you want to order a set of our mounts I will beat anyones price. Just call (810-765-4910) or pm me.

Thanks for the info guys!

I've never REALLY launched the car and never get wheel hop. I guess the trans mount aren't for me. Just easy on the throttle from now on.

It depends what you want. My rotated mounts are genuine and original. Lately we have had a lot of competing mounts sent to us as they have failed. The reasons are simple: a less than desirable bushing and different dimensions which will cause any insert to fail.

We dont price match. We sell our all steel mount for 110 +shipping, thats it, thats all. Good luck with your choices.

OP , If you have a TC and dont have power hop, well the TC does have upgraded mounts already, and you are probably driving the car sensibly. In that case, to get better launch stability and handling , you could consider our YYZ progressive rate springs, which improve the car a lot. Good luck with your choices.

Only issue now is viewing any products on Powell's website. Every time I click on a product to view, it just reloads the home page. What's up with that?
