Best Turbo for the Buck

Best Garrett Turbo for the money? Anyone got anything in mind or does Garrett not even make one that would fit?

Nothing will be a direct bolt in. GTX3076r is my favorite garret turbo though.

Have always been a fan of garrett since I've been old enough to realize how great the Grand National and GNX are and I haven't heard anything from anyone as far as failure goes on any engine. I'd go outside of Garrett but I figured I'd ask.

GTX3076r is a GREAT turbo. But I would probably go with Borg Warner, they are cheaper, and some say alot longer lasting than the newer Garrets... There might be a few hundred RPM in spool difference in favor of the GTX, but also you'll find it alot cheaper to find a manifold and a turbo going the borg warner route rather than the garret!

If you go outside of Garrett, hold out for the zzp EFR. It's going to be tough to be in terms of bang for the buck because it's essentially all you need to buy - no BOV, no external wastegate or turbo mani. Bolt on and go ... fast!!

If you are dead set on Garrett, then the above posts need be takin into consideration. I myself have a Precision turbo (5557) with a billet wheel and i love it. Mind you, it isn't a direct bolt on.
