I just installed the hahn charge piping and i just got the hahn billet bov supersonic to atmosphere, I want to know if it will run properly by just putting it in, or do I need a block off plate? And yes I will be tuning the car again.
I want to put the bov here I have a pic of where it will be installed I haven't put it on yet because I was hesitant on doing it before I asked about the block off plate for the stock bpv
I got the block off plate, and trifecta has a tune that doesn't require a maf relocation, I'm installing it tomorrow, how do I set up the vacuum lines for a block off plate? Do I hook the old bpv hose to the bov simple like that? Or do I run to the intake manifold and close off the old bpv hose?
I people should really read on this forum. Let me ask you something op.... your maf reads all the air coming into your engine courtesey of a maf sensor. Then it goes through a pipe, intercooler, another pipe and into your tb and intake manifold.
Now when you add a bov all the metered air goes bye bye. Do you really think you can tell a computer how much air it just vented and what to do to compensate when it blows off? No. You can make it more driveable but you cannot change the fact that the car will go rich between shifts.
I have the same hahn piping as this guy and just got the Turbosmart bov, zzp catless dp and maf relocate installed and my tuner tuned the car and now I have to get a block off plate on the turbo because there is a boost leak...he was hoping there wouldn't be lol but oh well she'll be running about 24 psi 300+whp tomorrow

Mine is running great with the block off plate, dead even in a race from 40 to 120 with a 335i jb4 and e85 on his, I'm buying fuel injectors next and a hp fuel pump to go 50/50 e85 and 103oct, but the bov runs and works great no problems had it for over 5k miles now
