Block damage

Hi there everyone. I have a 2006 2.0 LSJ Cobalt ss. It has block damage at the lower chain guide rail bolt hole boss. I'll attach a pic to show you. I'm not too confident a reliable repair can be made to the boss unless I take it to a machine shop and have them fill it in then drill a new hole. So I'm thinking of getting a new engine block. Unfortunately this is my only car and have to go the cheapest route. Am I correct in saying that zzp is the only vendor for the block unless I find a used one? Sorry if this isn't in the right thread, I tried to find the best one.

Yeah I don't believe the LSJ blocks are available new but you could always check with Crate Engine Depot, they are a GM dealer and vendor on here and could help you find a new stock block if needed.

I have a good used LSJ bare block I'd be willing to sell cheap, I bought it for a similar reason, to repair actual casting damage to the block I had, but ended up getting a complete used shortblock to swap in.
