Blew off stock charge piping
I was WOT in 2nd gear when the car suddenly bucked, I immediately let off and coasted to the next stop light. No CELs, but when the light went green I discovered I was in limp mode.
I made it to my friend's house and popped the hood. My IC/charge piping is super loose where it bends and runs straight down to the intercooler, but I didn't have sufficient light to see where it's supposed to attach. I'm guessing it popped off under WOT. Likely or possible?
Easy fix? I tried getting under the car last night but that's sure as hell not happening without ramps or stands. And now it's lightly snowing so it's not a driveway project anymore.

there is a buliten or a recall on the plastic fastener that holds it down. Many have just used a Zip tie and its fixed. The search button is your friend!

When I got my car home the first thing i did was tighten the charge pipes on the intercooler and at the turbo. They were practically finger tight so it wouldn't suprise me if they were just loose . Carefull on the intercooler thou.... the plastic ends can crack.
If you had the recall the Zip tie mod shouldn't be necessary

There was a recall. The dealer will now install a more substantial fastener. Last time I took my car in, they put the fastener on there despite my aftermarket charge piping, so they could check off that they had done it.
