bolt on mods after GMS1??
bolt on mods after GMS1??
I'm a gms1 with muff delete. Pretty much happy with the added pull but man they do die a bit up top. So can I do a few bolt ons in future that will add true whp? I mean the learn down is off with gms1 ?? Correct?? And can any bolt ons help the peak power trail off? Catless or high flow cat downpipe? How much hp gain and will u get boost spike/creep with catless?
your best bet is ZZP Catless DP and Injen CP or go with ZZP's CP. They will improve the air flow a lot more with the GMS1. Intakes are kind of pointless, unless you tuned for it. I had my Hahn set off the CEL, so I took it off and hooked the stock airbox back on, and wella its perfectly functional again.

So I live in colorado, emissions is strictly enforced. Why would I go catless over catted? Obviously performance, but wouldn't it be a hassle for me and emissions registration.
Also,
Do you guys not care about your warranty? Doesn't all this stuff (excluding GMS1) void warranties? I guess I can call my dealership and find out, but I'm worried about a CAI.

they can't void your warranty, unless they can prove that part was the cause. Moss something Act can't remember. I have Injen CP, TWM STS, and still have my warranty. As far as CAI's go, don't get an intake, unless you get a tuned for it, otherwise your just sucking air like Vararam advertises on their website, "If your not Vararam equipped, then your just sucking air," which is so true. In other words, if your not tuned, then your fuel trims will not be the same and it will effect your performance without any gain. Trust me I felt no gain with the Hahn equipped with the GMS1, until I threw a CEL. My boost levels were very responsive with the stock airbox, compare to the Hahn because of the fuel trims being at 0.
You have no idea what that ACT covers do you? That covers aftermarket replacement of stock parts.
examples: K&N oil filter instead of OEM. Fram air filter instead of OEM. Mobile 1 motor oil instead conventional, when applicable.
That ACT does NOT and will NOT cover aftermarket performance parts.

The GMS1 still protects the turbo from overspooling at high rpms by dropping boost/opening the wastegate.
Even tuning with HPTuners we don't have enough WG control to prevent the boost from dropping to about 17 psi @6k.
Trifecta/HPT combo tune can boost steady to redline if you want but say bye to the warranty if you have to get serviced unless you write entire the ecu to stock.
Boltons that increase the flow such as the intake, cp, dp & exhaust actually will drop the boost pressure a bit as the flow goes up. You still make more power overall.

TWM performance's short throw shifter. I have it and love it. Injen CP= charge pipes AKA intercooler piping. Honestly i would stay away from Injens CPs, go for a more "personable" company like ZZP, CIA, Synapse Turbo, Hahn, etc... Definately if your looking into the TWM STS, get the aluminum bushings, its $20 and your already going to be opening up your shifter.
