boost gauge reading just under 0?

had my car at the shop because of bent shifter cables or something like that picked it up and now the boost gauge doesnt seem to be working its stuck at just under 0 kpa even when off it doesnt move or when driving.

the car seems to be boosting and pulling fine but the gauge doesnt react to the proper readings

any idea what they may have done? i have to take it back tm morning
according to them they were only into the console inside the car and werent under the hood

I believe these gauges are electrical and get signal from the CAN bus. Start probing the connectors on the back. Its possible it somehow got disconnected. Also check your 10A wiper fuse.

Here's a diagram:

it seems it fixed its self i had to go a few places today and it suddenly mid trip starting reading properly again weird.

regarding the shifter cables they probably are stretched i got a problem with the shifter assembly, cold mornings whatever gear my car was in when left the night before its frozen stuck until the car warms up and sometimes im in a hurry and force it in gear first time i broke something that held the cable and the shifter was all loose and floppy and the mechanic said he welded something back on and it was good to go

kept freezing still and now whatever i did pulling on it the other morning the shifter does not let me reach 2nd or 4th gear and barely lets me get in reverse (just physically doesnt reach the gear)

i need new cables now apparently but noone can tell me why its freezing during cold nights

anyone with similar problems?

An old trick I picked up from my cycling days was to drip Triflow lube inside of the bowden cables. Makes them real slick.
