boost issues help needed

09 cobalt ss zzp catless down pipe, cai, tuned at 22ish psi. most of the time it boosts normal but sometime it will only boost around 10 to 15psi and will throw a p2178 code. I cant seem to figure out what is causing it. thanks

This is a rich issue.

Usually you will have a boost leak somewhere.

Check your intake, all charge pipes, and the intercooler for leaks or damage.

Are you running stock intercooler? If so, it may be busted.

Oh and don't beat on the car until you fix it.

It's a zzp intercooler. Wouldn't a boost leak be a full time problem?

Depends on the leak. Could also be related to your CAI and your tune.

It all depends on how large the leak is, where the leak is, and how the computer reacts to the leak.

It may be a smaller leak and less noticeable at different temperatures and boost levels.
