Smile Bov

Whats the best BOV to replace the stock one on a 2009 SS TC ? Needs to work the same way. Any other input would also be helpful. Thanks Mongo

2009 SS TC Yellow. Dejon SRI ,Dejon Piping, Crazy Steve Intercooler, Hahn Catted DP, Jennetty 3 inch exhaust, OTTP Stage 2 mounts, Ingalls Stiffy, Trifecta Dual Tune

I Think Im having some kind on issue with the bov. I heard there were some problems with them leaking or actuating too soon. Anyone else have any issues with it ? Thanks again

Best is to WAIT.

Hahn will have a complete bolt on recirculation system for the SS/TC soon. Just like the solstice/sky 2.0L turbo. It will recirculate the BOV air back into the intake system, so you MAF readings dont throw off your tune.

Solstice/sky members love this option.

^ Which totally defeats the purpose of an atmospheric BOV. If you want to do it right and actually blow off atmospherically then you need to get the cold side piping from Clear Image that relocates the MAF to the cold side piping.

your looking for a hybrid BOV. one that recirculates under normal driving conditions, but when you WOT it goes into atmospheric BOV mode. If I were to get a BOV, it would be that kind.

but you would still need a block off plate and hot side charge piping with the BOV flange.

I don't think he was talking about a blow off at all but just a stock bypass replacement.

Wow...some people don't want the hassel of emission and stuff dude. Some people also don't mind paying an extra buck or 100 for it.

PS I'm big into conservation and I have a catless downpipe.

ORLY?! Will this work with their intake and charge pipe system? I would be interested in this.

cops in my city actually get on their backs and look for cats on the cars that are modified... i rather keep it catted than catless cause i dont want a fix it ticket to go to a ref station and have to change everything back to stock.. i rather just play it safe...

good luck on the BOV... if you want most of the universal ones, hks and greddy have a resurc kit that you can purchase... so it will work the same... however you will need to modify it to fit the car...
