Did you get that flutter fix since this video was uploaded? It sounds good except for the fact that the flutter is going to kill your turbo.

just the ppl who have hks some have problems i dont really hear alot of fluttering really.
it hasnt bothered me at all.
just sounds a lil funny when i dont hit boost. and let off the accelerator.
when i hit alot of boost its fine really.

 

i get compliments all the time. its loud.
and when your in between 2 cars intraffic. super loud everyone looks at u lol like " i didnt know that **** comes turbo"

 

I'm not worried about the sound its making I am worried about the damage it could be causing...

 

my hks never fluttered liek that it had a good pssssshhh sound without boost wether you gave it a little gas or you were about to hit boost, i also had dejon charge pipe and i still do, i really like them.

 

I wonder why the HKS has issues on these cars. I know guys that use them on 240s, 350s, and all sorts of other cars I don't want to list. They work great. But for some reason they are bad voodoo on the balt. My turbosmart works fantastic. It vents off loud and fast at WOT on shifts and I hear a little flutter down low but usually when the boost isn't even on the gauge. As soon as it reads over like 3 psi it vents nicely.

 

Is it as loud as the hks?

The only HKS BOVs I have heard are on other cars, but mine is louder than my buddy's wrx. Before he wrecked it he was only running like 18psi and I'm at 24, the pressure also has a little something to do with how loud it is when it opens.I can barely hear it over my exhaust at WOT when I shift... And seeing as how loud my exhaust is, and how loud the BOV would have to be to hear it over the exhaust, I would say its pretty damn loud.

 

The noise it makes (fluttering) is a bad thing. The noise it makes when just releasing pressure is a good thing. Keep up with me here.

 

Mine works great! I have never had any thing but a phsss.

The way they operate, they will all go ssshhssshshss at low psi, above like say 5 psi it should go psssh then shshshshsh a little.

Lol yeah, because I want to make sure a bov won't issues that means I'm being contradictory.... Any way, trolling aside, how many people out there have hks bovs without issues? If you have no issues what charge pipes do you use and who were you tuned by?

 

There are other BOVs as well. Tial makes some really good ones. I have a Turbosmart from Treadstone. Its really good. I would highly recommend it.

 

You have any videos of it? I have just heard that hks is the loudest...
