Brake Pads

I want to get aftermarket brakes for the rear of my car because my brakes are shot. I was wondering what are good long lasting brakes?

I tried EBC redstuff pads for almost 3000 miles and they squealed & howlwd a lot at low speeds under light to moderate pressure. I just put Hawk HPS rear pads on tonight and I just got them bedded in. The Hawk HPs come highly recommended but if the rotors are grooved more than .012" you'll have to turn or replace them. I had replaced the rotors when I put the EBC pads on & they are still fine. Very light scoring from the EBC pads. Sanded them down with 120 grit as recommended before I put on the Hawks.

The EBC's showed virtually no wear when I removed them, stopping power was good also, just too noisy for me. I had the backplates good & greased up so they shouldn't have been crying all the time.
