Braking sound problem?..
Braking sound problem?..
Hey guys. Everytime I brake when the car is about to stop I hear a squeking sound or a grinding sound. I've heard that it might be the rotors but I've touched them and they seem to be fine, I can't find a rough surface in them that might be causing it. I don't think they are the pads since I only have 6500 miles. Does anyone know what could it be?
Grinding noises from the brakes usually means that your pads are very low and there is little to no friction material left on the pads. It's an ongoing occurance with the rear brakes on these cars. I had to replace my rear brakes when the car only had 13k miles.
As for squeaking it could be just the material of the pad itself. Metallic pads themself tend to squeak more than ceramics do. I notice once in a while my front brakes squeak a little.
