broke shift linkage...

yea so i let my friend drive my cobalt cuzi was drunk and he broke my shift linkage fml now i gotta pay 300 some odd dollars to fix it cuz hes a pos and wont admit he did anything wrong so has anyone had their linkage snap and lose 2 4 and R ????

yea but jager and redbull is soo hard to resisit!! hes a mustang driver btw so he cant do no wrong and no car can compare to a mustang

Warranty? This happened to me and it was warranty

are you sure it is broken? I was passing on the highway once and made a hard shift from 3 to 4th and the car couldn't go into 4th or 2nd properly for the rest of the way home. Got home pulled out the cup holder in front of the shifter and just pushed the plastic tab back in a it was as good as new.

Our shift linkages are held together by a plastic clip which likely broke. It's a warranty fix if you're still in warranty.

i just had to replace my shifter assembly a couple of days ago, butt mine wouldnt go into 1,3or 5th.
