BTF Turbo upgrade??
BTF Turbo upgrade??
So im looking into getting the BTF GT30R turbo kit for the LNF and im just wondering what the GT3582R with ported shroud upgrade is? is that a bigger turbo or what? If it is a bigger turbo wouldnt that turbo take a while to spool up??
thanks guys! yeah thats kinda what i thought. ill prolly go with the gt30r. a buddy of mine has that on his GTI and its pretty quick! it could spool a lil faster but he needs a tune so its prolly a lil off.
yeah motors not built, just stock internals. Might build it in the future if the parts are available but deff. not right now. right now i just want a bigger turbo.
You can't go wrong with BTF's kit. I'm friends with the guy who did the test kit and it's amazing. On 245 Kuhmo XT-S (I think that's the tire name) He was still spinning his tires at the 1/4 mile mark! He's gonna try 265's next year in an attempt to get traction.
I was sitting in the back seat when we picked his car up from BTF. BTF was driving and my friend was in the front seat. I've never been so scared in my life!
400whp 2nd gear pulls + Up state New York roads = Scary as ****!
If I was looking for a turbo upgrade I'd definitely go with BTF, he knows his stuff and after seeing the cars he's worked on I don't think I'd consider anyone but him and ZZP.

yeah thats my problem. I know its a good kit but id like to see some numbers. I like the kit for the reason it uses any ic piping, intake, and downpipe that i want. So all my Hahn products will bolt up to it!
Intakes and charge piping from others work with it? I knew downpipes did but didn't know that other peoples intakes and upper charge pipes did too.
maybe someone else will be able to chime in and say for sure tho.

yes....everything that works with stock components will work with the btf kit....zzp's kit will work with stock chargepiping and intake aswell from what i hear but will need a different downpipe.
hmmmm... i heard ZZP's is gonna be pretty good too! i might hafta wait and see what they come out with!
The BTF kit was designed to just bolt up while retaining the use of all aftermarket and stock bolt-ons. There's no numbers for it yet because it hasn't been dyno'd. Owner's tight on cash atm so he won't be able to dyno. Let me know if you want a ride Turbo'd, just down the road. With stock fuel system we're not gonna be able to max the kit out but after we solve the fueling, I believe the kit will be good for 500whp. Full boost is coming in about 3100-3200RPM's @ 27PSI I believe.
my friends srt-4 with a gt3076r makes 489 at the wheels at 20lbs on e85. i believe when he went to 25-27lbs he put down 529 at the wheels. the zzp kit is going to be awesome but i believe the size on that turbo is closer to a gt35r.... i think the s256 spools faster then the gt35r though. my question will be to them.....they solved the fuel problem mechanically. so if i wanted trifecta to tune the car since he has unlocked the tables would i have to still have to buy their mechanical fuel system upgrade?
Yea, you met him before he did the upgrade. It was Joe, with the Hahn exhaust you wanted to hear. He's actually having warranty work done right now but after he gets done with that he could give you a ride I'm sure.
