yeah...zzp basically says that they are including an intake with the kit and more then likely an intake for the stock turbo will NOT work with their turbo kit because of the rotated position of the turbo.also you will need to replace the downpipe with the zzp one thats included with the kit. they do say however say that it will come with adapters to use the stock charge piping. personally im undecided as of right now. dan went through a lot of trouble making my parts and prototyping my maf relocation(i was the idea creator and i have the first kit lol) so i would really hate to not put his parts on.

Everything that bolts to the stock turbo will bolt to the BTF kit. I'm amazed BTF hasn't popped into this thread and included some info yet. Sorry about the delay on pics. Friend's having a new motor replaced under warranty.

btf says they will make tubular manifolds but you have to pay extra.

It's not due to the big turbo, I promise you that. I forget exactly what happened, some rings failed. There's another member on here who had the same thing happen, stock tune with a couple bolt-ons.

I know one too many people that have had ring failure on mild tunes and even GMS1. Ruled a manufacturer defect each time and all but one were covered under warranty.

Wait, I saw earlier someone wrote about wanting the GT35 for their SS, but I thought the 35 was too big for the location of the turbo, as it hits the firewall or something like that... I know I'm getting the BTF 3076 for sure, as I've talked to him, and he does some pretty impressive work with the kit. If I can get Vince to get me a tune once I get it and get it on my car, I'd be set for sure. I know the 3076 can boost to just about 30psi an handle about 550hp with the right upgrades.

I also thought about getting ZZP's kit when they come out with it, only because the turbo is larger, MUCH larger. And the test the site they posted about the test between the 256 and the 3076, both @ 23psi, didn't do any justice for the 256, as the intercooler in the test was too small for the 256.

All in all, I think the ZZP kit is going to be too much for anything but a track car, where as the 3076 would be a good overall turbo for both street/track driving. That's my opinion though. To each their own.

the s256 is equivalent to the gt3582r. about similar sizes and similar hp ranges. the gt3076 is a great street strip combo. the gt3582 wont hit the firewall. much like zzp i believe the turbo is rotated a bit to fit. zzp also i believe is going to release an s252 and s258 version of their kit. the way i look at it is, the zzp s256 s258 are going to be for the most part track or highway turbos and the s252 will be the street strip combo.

Yea. Get the BTF turbo kit and when ZZP releases their fuel rail fix then we're gonna start seeing some big numbers out of these turbo upgrade LNF's.

or go with option B and get the BTF upgrade kit and tune with Trifecta since he already has the fuel tables unlocked

Well first of all Vince doesn't even have all the tables they need unlocked. Plus the stock fuel rail itself is limited by how much pressure in can hold. I believe ZZP uses a slightly larger fuel rail to compensate but they're still working on the tuning for it IIRC.

i think vince is going to beat everyone on getting them all unlocked. always a slightly larger rail along with other components is a good idea this way theres no fuel starvation issues.

Yeah Vince is definitely leading the way. It just sucks that he doesn't have his own program out so that we can tune on the spot.

i've heard he is making his own and releasing it so people can tune on their own and still have all of the tables he has unlocked. that would be genius considering HP tuners abandoned us

No kidding. I've given up on HP Tuners unlocking anything else.
