If he took the time to even buy a spare ECU to tune it with I'd imagine he took pretty good care of it.

ya I'd agree with that. And at only 315hp its not even being pushed for power. Drive it and make sure it doesnt have odd noises or power issues. Maybe have a mechanic give it a once over? only cost me 100 bucks to do so.

plus the fact he bought all Hahn parts means he had money... lol

that is the easiest way to turn $1000 of bolt-ons into $2000

What did this person *do* with this car? Lots of drag racing would be a concern there.
Clutch would be on my mind with that. Hp range looks pretty *safe* though. Also, what is max *Peak* boost you see with this set up? Any CELs being thrown? Of course you want to look very carefully for oil leaks.

lnf has 3 spots for oil leaks, valve cover, high pressure fuel pump and another spot around there. theres a TSB for it. but check for leaks anywhere else on the engine and trans.

I would really worry about how much the car was beat on. If the car still has warranty that would take some of the worry out of it. These cars can take allot of abuse with some people and very little with others.

I got an 08 with hp tune to 330whp and 392 wtq with much much more mods then that but the only hahn mod i got is the CAI and block off plate, and my clutch is new got a stage 4 clutchmasters. I get no cel's and peaks 25psi and settles around 22-23psi. Also i am a fully licence gm mechanic. and got good grippy tires on it with new front and rear brakes. even got a full corbeau forza racing seat set up with 5 point harness and bar. Also got a completey new transmission with about 2000kms on it and it still gots fully gm warranty. go no fluid leaks and common leaks have been repaired already and oil change done every 3000kms with mobil 1 synthetic.

i agree with northvibe to take the car to a experienced mechanic and have it inpected. they usually do a great job checking for issues and mine even did it for $50

i love them actualy, it is a stiff spring rate tho.

My car also has 2 temp level cooler NGK pulgs in it for the tune and the lowest octane it can safely run off of is 94 octane (huskey premium)
I even put in the gm us version boost gauge aka Psi and got rid of the lame kPa.

The car is in great shape let me tell you lol! Very conservative tune, no clutch slip at all. No Oil leaks or CEL's (oil has been changed with Mobil 1). Never beat on it. Took it to the strip once, did about 5 passes. I even reinforced the shift linkage (and also have a spare stock one, along with the spare stock ecm).

And the tune sees about a max of 23psi, then settles to about 21psi consistently.

Hey Sheldon... how do them tires fit in there? Ok or had to make some mods to make them fit? I think a wider tire would aid quite a bit in traction off the line but keeping the stock height would be difficult.. but a 245/35 might be close so I was curious. Thx in advance!
