just wondering if it would be a good idea. i have heard nothing but good things with a i/c sprayer and the kit is pretty cheap.

anybody using an i/c sprayer?

also i have saw the thread where a bone stock ss/tc made 40whp or so by spraying nitrous on the intercooler (before learn down would kick in)

i think its a good idea. iat2's that are 50 degrees below ambient temp. my car pulls very hard in the cold.

 

In most cases half the gains that are seen from spraying the intercooler with nitrous are because the engine is ingesting some it that makes its way into the engine bay. CO2 can have the opposite effect. If you can insure that the motor cannot suck up some of the blow through CO2 I say go for it

 

that is true. my sri is pretty far from the intercooler location tho. even if i gain just 20whp thats worth it. 300 dollar mod.. if that.

 

For another $150 you can set up a 50 wet shot and have some real fun

 

What you want to do is have a water sprayer on the innercooler sorta like a meth kit, get the nozle and spray onto the i.c And basically with the Nitrous you will want to spray the in when it is wet .. So basically freeze the IC..! I did this with my MK3 supra 1jz swapped and it did great!

 

Cant use a water sprayer on the strip tho. poo

not a big fan of nitrous. to me c02 seems way easier. just go to a sporting goods store to fill up and i dont need to tune for it.

i would of been able to tell you. i had a brand new dei cryo 2 kit with tank and sprayer that i left at my parents house and while i was serving some time on behalf of california corrections system my dad threw it in the trash when we moved. pissed!

They suggest a water sprayer then a C02 sprayer so that it "sticks" to the surface of the IC...


People thinking you are "spraying" the car while you are doing a drag run or pull or whatever don't get how it operates .. No C02 is sprayed while under WOT .. Just in the staging lanes or right before a pull..

In order for it to work properly, it should be on while at WOT as well. It's probably not needed for a 1/4 mile run, but on a good highway pull your going to want to spraying the whole time.

so you can run a water mist, a co2 mist or combined? Where can you get a co2 tank refilled? I kinda like this idea...

 

Hey sam get your washer fluid tank another fluid motor, and have it installed onto your stock washer tank, andrun a line to te icand use a press button t spray. THE C02 Can be done with a dei kit like 300 bucks i think!!!

 

I was thinking that if I just used the co2 on the intercooler that the meth all of 6 inch further down the line would be good enough. I just was thinking also this would be a good idea with the 2871 i'm lookign to bolt up. Its pretty humid here and always warm plus the humidity in new york is ridiculous lol

i just don't know where I can get a co2 filled...

 

you can get c02 filled in most hobby store or paint ball stores. some walmarts have it as well!
