Camshaft actuators dying?
I am installing the first couple now, and when i get more parts ( the actual catch can with check valve and screens) they will be generally available... it is a matter of a week or so....
Sorry for the double post.
do we have a list of oem parts that have been upgraded/ superceded?
besides the actuators, i think there were some seals changed but cannot remember which ones?
is there anything else? we need to post it up and have it stickied for the hypochondriacs(cars, not health, i know) like me.

it is, but if you mean ecommerce, click and buy no calls required, the answer is "I dont know", I am sure I dont want to deal with that part, but its up to GLoria to decide, she and B.Rad are working on it...
as far as updated parts or superceded parts are concerned, that happens automatically at the dealer , its probably less work for folks here to talk to Tom@crateenginedepot.com he is on top of that all the time....

so hard to do what you suggest without a crap load of work, that no one in their right mind would do...
and besides, a new part number does not always mean a better part. fyi...
sorry to revive this thread, but i cant figure out if this is the problem i am having. very occasionally will i have noise at start up, but more concerning to me, is if i am around 3-4k rpm and i go wot, it stumbles, loses rpms slightly, then goes. if its these solenoids going bad, then great, easy fix. if not, anyone have any light to shed on it?
no codes, just a weird hesitation when going from cruising to wot around 3-4k... ad n its not lag haha, the car starts to pull, then hesitstes and the rpms drop slightly, then it goes again. it is weird. the guy in my area who is an ecotec expert ( gone_in_10_sec ) said maybe the cam phasers, but i figured id post here too and get soem feedback.
I am having problems trying to find these part numbers 12646784 and12646783 have they been changed? I also did an ohms reading on the one acting up and got a huge fluctation 60kohms to 200k ohms the exhuast one was 11.8ohms
Go to rock auto and search the variable valve timing sensors.

Well, when you have problems with your ABS and nobody can help can you call (lowest bidder)? You can call Tom. I did. Got an hour of his time. Didn't charge me for it.
If (not gonna name names) screws the pooch on your order for new discs, it's Monday, and you have a race Friday can you call (lowest bidder)? You can call Tom. I did.
He's bailed my ass out more than just the twice I've referenced. Saved me more than 10 bucks in the long run. Lowest bidder is a great idea, right up until it actually costs you more in the end. That's my advice, and I won't even charge you for it.
