Try youtubing to get and idea for sound difference.....but I just went catless this weekend and love the sounds just a tad louder while cruising and but aggressive on the throttle...dont even want a catback now. Turbo spools really quicker as well

i was gonna make a thread for this, but i may as well try here how does catless sound on an lsj? all i've got at the moment is a magnaflow muffler i believe, is catless super loud and raspy on an lsj or does it make it deeper... im fine with a little louder, but i hate rasp

also the reason is i wanna get a badmab and ZZP 3inch downpipe and catless is cheaper

Catless on an LSJ is loud...I mean LOUD. Back when my buddy had his SC, he had ZZP's header/DP combo with the GMPP Sport catback and that was crazy loud. Like we could hear him coming from many blocks away. As far as Rasp? Eh...not so much...just loud as all heck.

I went Catted, because our emissions up here are strict. However I read that ZZP Catted will fail emissions anyway because it's not EPA regulated or something.

Not sure how true that is, but if I fail, I'm gonna be sad. I'll sell my catted then if I fail and go catless. I still have my stock.

Catless isn't way too loud...it sounds awesome

Catless + JR side exit = louder

Catless + no res + no muffler on an lsj is just dumb loud

I went with the catted down pipe. I have had too many Mustangs without cats and was sick of smelling like fuel. It saturates your clothing.

Are you spending excessive amounts of time standing behind your car while it's running or something?

For some reason, everytime someone dyno's with their cutout open on this car, they either lose wheel HP or dont make any more than they did with it closed.

Catted or cattless depends solely on age. If you're under the age of 24, go catless. If you're 25 or older, go catted.

I have 07 s/c and looking to get zzp catless downpipe but I'm having a hard time understanding the 2nd 02 bung for the wideband, do I need to get the 2nd bung or no? I guess I just don't understand the wideband part. I know wrong engine but figured I could still get help

When i went cattless I couldn't believe how much the dual cats muffled the exhaust on these cars . Even with the rest of the exhaust system in place the car sounds real aggresive at WOT......whats cool is it's really mellow at idle and part throttle cruising . If you mash on it ....then let off and pull into a parking lot or something .....people would wonder where that loud car went. hehe

It's almost like GM used the cats to muffle the car and put a high flow muffler and resonator on the stock catback lol.
