I'm from Northampton county pa... Is there anyway possible of passing emissions with a catless downpipe with out taking off the catless and putting the stock one on for the emissions test

 

That's what I do.

 

You'll have to have your MIL disabled so it doesn't show up. If they visually inspect it and see no cat, they will probably fail you. Depends on how they operate and how strict they are.

When I lived in PA, My GTO had long tube headers and catless mid-pipes. I brought it to a shop to weld the mid-pipes to the headers and they never said anything when I brought it back for an inspection. The put it up on a lift and everything. Basically, if there was no CEL and the OBD II scan showed everything was in order, they pass you. They actually had to order a new gas cap becuase mine failed the test. After that, everything was golden

 

I am catless as well, but i have an angled o2 defouler so i dont have a check engine light, also in monro county they dont have a sniffer so i dont have to worry. worst comes to worst get a 30 cat off of ebay and v band it into your exhaust for inspections and when you get home jack it up and put your straight pipe in. right now im running 3 inch downpipe catless with out a tune so i shoot flames out the back, if that doesnt say fail me at an inspection i dont know what will.

 

where i live they put something on where the gas cap goes, is that a sniffer

 

no a sniffer is where they put a sensor up your exhaust and as the car is running test the emmissions

 

oh, well they run it to the state i guess while the car is running

 

seriously though, just buy the catless downpipe and vband a cat in for inspection time.
