You can't alter the OEM cat on most new cars without throwing a CEL, even if you replace it with a highflow unit.

The only (right) way to eliminate the CEL and pass inspection is through HP Tuners or some other VCM tuning software.

I've told MP that their catted downpipe DOES NOT prevent CEL. The only one that reliably prevents both P013e and P0420 is the Hahn. Anything else requires disabling of codes.

They offered to send me a O2 extension, and I took them up on the offer for the straight version. They sent me the J version instead, which causes P013e because it doesn't allow enough air to pass over the O2 sensor during cruise.

I cut it off, and disabled the codes. MP was of no help.

Just disable the code with the tune. Most tuners will do it automatically but if they don't just ask... It will take out t 100% of the headache of the CEL.

I have the p0420 code on my car, I just erase it with a handheld. I didn't get a extension from modern performance so I will have to call and get one I guess. Their downpipe has a nice price and it's a good looking piece.

yea. i think hahn was the only one to nail it. I have the offroad pipe on the car since the DP was available and no CEL lights and it passed the OBDII scan at inspection
