CEL Light again!!!:(

i just had the vehicle serviced like a week ago and its already back on. They told me last time it may have been caused by the intake but the hahn intake is recomended by GM on there GMTunersource website. Nothing mechanicaly was wrong with it but it still through the misfire code. Has anyone gotten this code on a bone stock 09 SS/TC? if so how did you get rid of the light permanately. Will a tune get rid of it? not sure what to do on this one. I only hav 4700miles on mine.

This happens to me about every 3 months. I took it in sveral times, but they never seem to find out what causes it. Now I just clear the code myself, my car runs good.

nah the maf is good i didt put it in myself. They cant void my warranty for a intake anyways since that intake is on gmtunersource which i believe is one of GM's sites. If you get the stage 1 GMP kit does it come with new map sensors and do you think it will rid be of this blasted code lol. or will tuning possibly take it away. this is such a nusense. if i have to take it into the dealer for the next 5 years its on warranty im just going to trade it in for a new camaro lol i dont even care if its the v6 it still looks bad @$$. or i may just say the hell with it and go foreign if i get to irritated.

it has a known issue. if you really want to test it put the stock box back on and see if you throw a code. the Hahn intake is known to have that leaking breather hose.

Hahn intake will cuse very positive fuel trims as it skews the MAF quite a bit. It can make your A/F way richer than is commanded which will cause misfires. Reset the code and put your stock airbox back on or have some tune your MAF for that intake.

funny you posted this. i just took my car into the service shop an hour because my CEL kept blinking when I shifted into second. I think I misfired a piston because it was popping as I shifted.

Check your intercooler - specifically the condensation bar underneath - one accidental scrape and it can crack your plastic end tanks - look very closely where it meets up with the end tank for anything that looks like a crack.

dealer found out what it may have been by calling GM. I guess GM said that if you cold start it will sometimes cause the motor to misfire and throw a code. So they advised that when i start it up to fully let it warm up and idle down to where its supposed to be and see if it still happens. I will admit sometimes im in a rush and i only let it sit for like half the warm up cycle. So hopefully this solves it we will see.
