ok so i was talking to this guy in md and he says hes a big lnf tech. he told me that he was trying to put a built 2.2 head off a cobalt ls on the 2.0 lnf block.. i guess hes trying to do what the subaru guys do wen they put the 2.0 wrx head on the 2.5 sti block.. i dont know about this so i figured id ask and see if any one has heard of this or tried it. idk why he wants to do it but its not my car so good luck to him i guess..

yea i just kinda stopped paying attention when he said that. lol i mean im no gm tech by a long shot but it doesnt make much sense to me. doubt it will work, if i happen to see the dude again ill tell him to make an account on css.net, comes into my work sometimes. pretty much the vibe i got is he knows everything about everything and no1s got **** on him, and hes got like 3 teeth total so it makes it that much more hillarious, not hatin just sayin.... lmao

also reminds me of like the ls/vtec builds. i mean i dunno how well that would work out but in all honesty i think it would be sweet if there were some way of turning the lnf into a 2.2L. won't happen but the thought would still be sweet lol.

Can probly stroke it to 2.16 like the GM race motors. On another note, why are we or would we want to stroke the motor when cant even get enough fuel to feed to 2.0DI into the 600 range????? Seems like we need to tackle the fuel issue first and the tranny case flex

All in all, the answer is that it is a very bad idea and it isn't going to work. If you want a built head for an LNF, you need to build a LNF head. I don't think they make aftermarket cams for the LNF, and I'm not sure if they make ANY aftermarket parts for the LNF head.
Where are you going to put the injectors? Also, how would you tune for VVT on an LSJ?

^The head would be DI, so the whole setup would need to be swapped. and I wasn't thinking of tuning as much as I was swapping wiring/pcm from sstc to sc model. I'm just putting it out there, possible? probably. some people might have more input that's what I was getting at.

Well theres always the LAF.. 2.4L, DI, VVT.. seems like a good candidate for an LNF head swap.

Don't think it would really be worth it though. A turbo LAF on the other hand...
