Charge Pipe Issue

Anyone else have a cut in the rubber hose on the hotside charge pipe? It is not exactly where the T-bolt clamp is so I have no clue how it happened. I have no camera at work so no pics yet. Look a little above the T-bolt clamp on the right side as you face the hotside piping.

I haven't noticed anyting with mine, but this is making me really think about upgrading. How did you go about to finding the cut?

Are you using stock hoses and charge piping? If so it may have just fatigued all the way through due to swelling.

I think you are right Steve. I have my Clearimage kit coming in the mail so no biggie I just wanted to let everyone know about this possible issue. Stock hose is very thin and flimsy I would not doubt that the stock boost levels will blow it out after just a few years. The OEM piping sucks majorly. It is not that bad though becasue I am still seeing 20 psi (was 21) so it is a very minor leak at this point.

I found it when I removed the hotside pipe to help get better access so I can fix the Cam Sensor oil leak.

Ill look at my stock piping when I get home. I have Hahns on mine now, and thanks to cheaping out on the clamps (instead of upgrading to tbolt clamps) I now have a reverse dent in my hood and that nice powder coating that I paid $50 extra for has two nice spots where it has rubbed through.. No Im not kicking myself for that one.

For the price Hahn charges they should include the T-bolt clamps. Regular price is $499 plus $50 for the T-bolt clamps. I paid $320 for my charge piping including T-bolt clamps.
