Check engine light after installing intercooler and charge piping
Looking for an idea on what could be causing a check engine light after installing a new intercooler and charge piping. I'm tuned with the HAHN PPC...yes a canned tune i know
Basically after installing everything now i check engine light. Tried returning the car to stock tune and retuning, also tried leaving the battery unhooked.
After leaving the battery disconnected the CEL went away on the first startup, but now on the second startup it's back.
I'm assuming there is a sensor that's probably going nuts somewhere as the piping or intercooler really wouldn't cause anything serious...but just wanted to check around to see if anyone has had this issue and what the fix was, it's bugging me.
Thanks!

Guaranteed boost leak. Probably a loose coupler. If you werent throwing a cel before, install some parts, and are suddenly throwing a code, 99% of the time it's the install/parts.
As it turns out it's P0100 which the code reader is picking up as mass airflow...I did adjust the intake so I guess that did it.
Does this most likely mean the sensor went bad? Or can I clear it and hope it doesn't come back?
I'm on an injen intake right now, I'm literally about to install a turboxs intake to match the intercooler and piping...

hmm.. could be the tune. i got a CEL when i get the injen CAI.
but if you are tuned for the injen CAI, and you go to a turbo XS intake you might throw a code because the turbo XS intake is much bigger in diameter.
stock tune the fuel trims were not off enough to throw a code. with the turbo xs intake.
have you thought about getting another tune?
