ppl was telling mt to install a cherry bomb to my car along with my megan exhaust. would this work. would the cherry bomb act as a resonator? would this be worth it?

dude in all honestly. i have a muffler delete and a 3in cat back exhaust. and that bitch is loud as ****. do you really want that ricer sound man? i am getting my hahn down pipes and exhaust tommarow and i am gonna scrap my current exhaust. becaus it is too loud. its loud but it also has a low mean kinda grumble to it.

 

No go on the cherry bomb. You don't want to sound like a fast lawnmower.

 

dont become a ricer civic sound alike. thats just awful. get something that sounds good.

a guy around town put a cherry bomb on his ls ricer style (cut stock muffler off and clamped that crap on) and it sounds horrible.

 

the hahn exhaust will have most people's vote.

 

Yea, I have cherry bombs on my 383 stroker, and they sound good, but I'm not too sure about the LNF...

 

yeah cherry bombs sound good on my truck but not on a balt.

 

if you want loud run 3in into straight 4 mufflers with like a 6 tip

 

yes a cherry bomb will work just like a resonator but it will not increase noise in any way lol... everyone seems to think puting a muffler/cherrybomb( read the name... what do u think it does muffel the quiteness lol) on the car will make it louder than without 1 at all.... uhmm well they do make amplifiers but thats just a bigger pipe that crackels and exchos the sound out lol.( hince the tip). but rilly get an exhaust and i think its imposable to make a turbo car sound bad exhaust wise lol... you should get a SCREAMER PIPE. that attaches to the wastegate and when u get on it it sounds like a jet its rilly LOUD but its just the excess boost dumping off lol.

anyhow idk what u do to ur exhaust i dont think it will sound 2 ricey... put a bov and instantly its not rice anymore now its a tuner lol.( no matter how bad it sounds). u already have at least 1 resonator( the snail of the turbo acts as its own resonator ) on ur exhaust even if u do a header dump lol. if u want loud.. get an exhaust and a cutout( electronic).

 

NOOOOOO dont sound like a civic!!!!! the hahn 3" exhaust gives an almost STi sound if they have one of the huge Invidia cans, deep mean rumble. thats what you want, not a honda leafblower exhaust. 1st gear wwuuuuuuuhhhhh 2nd wuuuuuuuuhhhhh 3rd WAAAAAAAAAAAA. honestly if you sound like that people look at you as a riceroni. get that deep sound. but then again, its YOUR car so do what suits you. best of luck

 

yeah man i do have to agree. it is your own car. you do what you want. but if you like the sound of the hondas go for it... but im telling you dont waste your money on anything. just get a muffler delete. and put a 3 inch pipe in. i did that and i lied it at first. but im teeling you; no i am promising you. that you will get tired of it. i just installed all my hahn upgrades recently. my hahn exhaust with their 3 inch high flow downpipe is mean man it sounds so sexy. but its not an obnoxious sound just perfection. but after i put on the hahn cold air intake, hahn charge piping and hahn intercooler. and used that PPC tuner. MAaaaannnn all i hear is that BPV man. and it screams. thats the sound you want right there. im pushin about 25 lbs of boost and every shift you hear the deep exhaust and the SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (shift) PSSSHHHHHHHHH SSSSSSSSSSS and man it sounds better or just as good at STI's And EVOs

 

cherry bomb = rice bomb

don't do it. anyone who knows more about a car other than that it runs on gas can tell the difference. cherry bombs are embarrassing IMO.
