CIA or Hahn Downpipe?
ok guys
If your going for a tune
its best to do a catless DP because the Cat cloggs.
I didnt do it for the sound. I did it for safety.
I had no idea it would sound like it did when i bought it
I paid 280 for my DP from CIA
the Stock DP is a big restriction on the car.
aftermarket parts for the LNF do no good bc of the learn down and only if u get a tune. the power of the DP and other parts will be released.

All of them that come with a drilled out anti-fouler.
Get the cheapest stainless steel one. A DP is a DP, and get a catless one, it is not loud without one, or I wouldn't have it.

So has ANYONE dynoed a stock downpipe vs. a catted/uncatted downpipe?
It seems that too many people are trying to make the car sound cool, and not really doing anything with gains and/or track times....

From the comparison of the 2 they are nearly identical...even price wise TTR sells Hahns for only 25 dollars more than CIA. I guess my biggest question is, which is better quality? Maybe vendors can chime in on this...both flow the same, both throw no codes, both are nearly same price, both are mandrel stainless, but what is best quality.
Side note...CIA does offer a cheaper aluminum one as well, and I think they offer a cutout option too. But Hahn offers modpipe.

We build our down-pipe with an interlock flex coupler. I have no idea what the other guy uses.
We do not offer a MOD pipe because it is not neccessary. We designed our pipe to allow members to order the cut-out option with either a hi-flow converter or cat delete. No swapping parts is required so we can offer much more for much less cost to the owner.
Qualit-wise?? We consider ourselves the best in the industry.
Though we do believe Hahn offers beautiful finish work.
Since you asked for the vendors to jump in.

im either going CIA or ZZP for my downpipe. Im sure both are very similair.
Personally I love Dejon powerhouse and would have loved to do a full Dejon setup like people do a full Hahn setup but without that angled O2 bung...i just cant rock that.

Synapse made an extra 15whp with their downpipe WITHOUT A TUNE. So much for Learn down. Plus it sounds like Sex.

Just bought my downpipe and put it on sounds soo good (also have muffler delete, kinda loud) but paid $199 for the ADM downpipe (great quality) however it does throw a code but that all gets fixed when you get tuned! provided you get a tune that can turn off the o2 sensor.

if your looking at zzp look at adm too nice pipe! no homo
most ss/tcs dyno at 240 something you can gain up to 260/260 is where the learndown stops you.

In short: the computer just targets a certain airflow...not HP or TQ or anything...airflow. if your stock components can't reach that airflow, then aftermarket bolt ons will help. if you're already making the factory air-flow .
Edit: not Solstice forums.

I wish ALL LNF owners would listen to Vince. HE KNOWS LNFs.
I went ahead and got the Hahn catted ModPipe from Turbo Tech Racing. I have a few PM's out to people because I am not sure I should install it before or after the GM Upgrade.
Will the upgrade learn that there is a DP on the car or will the DP be taken into account when he tune is installed?
Wonder when the optimum time is?

Nope becausethe desired airloads and max airload torque is all we can control in Hp tuners. We cannot see the tables that the GM stage tune changes to increase the boost pressure from 15lbs to 21lbs. Hopefully they will unlock more tables soon. If it wern't for the cam tables I would be very bored right now.
