Cobalt SS/TC

Does anyone know when production is going to end for the Cobalt SS/TC or the last day one can be ordered?

I'd venture to guess that the 2010 will be the last year of the Cobalt, GM looks like they are getting ready to launch the Cruze which is replacing the cobalt

Maybe, but not 100% confirm just yet. Some reports state the Cruze and the Cobalt will run side-by-side for a while, as they are in slightly different markets.

If the cobalt ss Turbo continues to be made that will be better for me. I can save up more. I only want to trade my lsj because I want a brand new Turbo cobalt. If I dont make that 2010 time frame I will just buy a used 2010 cobalt ss/tc with low miles later.

And do they offer the performance computer monitor thingy that goes were the boost gauge is?

If you're willing to wait for one, that's a much better idea. That way, you don't have to take all the depreciation. I bought an 08 with 10,000 miles on it for $13000. to answer your question, yes, that's the RPD. It comes on all the 2009 and 2010 SS/TCs.

The '09s had it as an option. It comes standard on 2010 SS/TC now.

Several features that used to be considered options on the SS/TC are now standard, such as the sunroof, RPD, and USB-equipped Radio. I think LSD is the last remaining option that still exists (excluding the small stuff like different floor mats or pedals).

The RPD (Reprogrammable Performance Display) is part of the "G85" (I think that's the code) option that includes the Limited Slip Diff this option is now standard on the 2010 model.

This must be a new development. The RPD was a separate code on mine. G85 was the LSD only.

On Chevy.com, the LSD is listed as optional. I would imagine this should be accurate as the 2010s have been on sale for a while now.

I never heard of that, but interesting. All I know is the Chevy Cruze is an inferior and anybody who drives a Cobalt should not applause to anybody driving a Cruze.

Actualy the cruze will not have the same power and performance as a cobalt SS/TC, however it is a big upgrade compaired to a base 2.2 Cobalt sedan. And the fit and finish of the interior and whole car in general is far superior to even the Cobalt SS/TC.
