Configuration file
Configuration file
So my car is in reduced power ever since I put a cold air intake on it. Went to a buddy with a hp tuner he scanned it and pretty much said your maf sensor is all over the place because of previous owners tune, so in order to do a new tune ( what he said )
Buddy-"Find someone configuration file for scanning and what the did for the intake tables."
Me- "So ask someone for a configuration file and intake table on cobalt ss forum just want to make sure that's what your asking."
Buddy-"Yeah so we have pids to scan that apply to the car, and know what tables are adjust for the intake. I don't know how to apply Maf changes from the scan to the tables at all, yet . Hptuners doesn't work with xcel spreadsheets.@"
So that is what I need help with, if someone can and thanks.

hes asking for a config file, because you cant set one up until you have plugged into the car. tuning maf isnt hard, but hes probably asking for a config to get you tuned as quickly as possible. 90% of tuning is setting up the right histos. the rest a monkey could do.
and you can copy and paste between hpt histos and excel.
but as stated, you might just as well contact someone reputable with lnf experience so that you can get a full tune. if youre maf is off, no telling what else is wrong

He has done tuning before for his car and many others(3800 series s/c) but he just got the new hp tuner suite and is just getting use to it since he mostly works on gm tunes. Codes that come up are 100 101 and 114 from all the info you guys have given me it helps out a lot thanks again, and any lnf tuners in the central MN area that you know of?

Matching histo tables to the tune file tables is easy, especially for someone who's "tuned" so many 3800 series engines. And like mentioned above, any and all tables in hptuners, regardless of engine, are compatable with excel.
