Crazy new kind of turbo( idk what its called help me out)

if this is in the rong place feel free to move it( dont deleate ) thanks alot i mean this is a turbo lnf pice so i figured why not go here...

has anyone heard of the new turbo that as u get higher into the rpm's it opens diffrent chambers so its got barley any boost lag but in the top end it still holds its own? starts off with little room so it spools up fast but as u get higher and higher( eather into boost or rpm's) the turbo opens up chambers of some sort that alow it to hold more air... in tearn making more boost and making more top end power? anyone know what thats called or what the name of it was.

I was lookin at it this morning but idk even how i got there.

this has been around since the late 80s at least, cause they made the turbo III engine from some of the dodge / chrysler models with it. VNT - variable nozzle turbo. pretty neat idea.

VGT is the exact turbo used it the newer duramax, it uses a plate with slots cut out in it that are attached to vanes which are used to direct exhaust gasses more directly at the turbine blades to achieve quicker spool up.

Great, but if this is such revolutionary technology then why has not any Cobalt owners tried it? It advertises to be able to build boost with no load on the engine and in neutral!

because the vgt programing for the duramax diesel would just make things more complicated, and besides turbo lag is almost non exsistant on the lnf anyway.

Surely you can find a tuner like

Terminator2 or Vince at Trifecta that could figure it out.

Might take a month or two but not two years.
