cut out vs catless

Ive done the turbo back before and I gotta admit I loved it but then got rid of my mods, so my questions are, is getting a cut out just as good as straight pipe or are they the same? Also im considering buying a cut out but where will it be a good place to weld it on? (removing the first cat or second) on the stock dp. Im also saving for some mods to go along with a nice tune at the end. Just need some insight on other peoples views.

Thanks guys

cutout will ruin the stock turbo. it'll blow out the seals cause you won't have enough back pressure.

Why would you even consider a cutout with the stock dp?

Well I was thinking about it and did not know that would happen turbo im not that much of a motor head lol but yeah i have a friend that cut a cat off and welded it to the stock dp and I just figured if it was worth it to do it that way or go with a catless again.

For the stock turbo you'd be best to just do catless and straight pipe leaving the resonator. Or if you want it really loud and a fair amount of turbo whistle cut the resonator out too. It sounds pretty good like that IMO but it can get a bit loud.

yeah i thought so to but i dont wanna ruin my turbo like you said, my buddy have the cut out and a trifecta tune and runs great. I also had it straight pipe with the resonator on though and it was nice probably go with a aftermarket muffler which leads me to my next question on which muffler is the best sounding one for our cars?

idk man I've never had a muffler. as soon as I bought my LNF I drove 7 miles to the exhaust shop got the muffler cut off. a week later I put a catless downpipe on. ran it like that for a while then eventually I decided I wanted it to be louder more aggressive sounding and more turbo sound so I got the resonator cut off as well. so I was 100% straight pipe from the turbo back. I ran it like that until I went big turbo now I just have a resonator cause it was stupid loud with the new turbo.

Have any vids without the resonator and muffler? In catless now wih the muffler delete and might cut off the resonator.

Nice dude and yeah I bet just with the stock turbo straight pipe its loud. I might do a catless with the cut out who knows.. maybe that will satisfy my needs, but then again would that required diff tunes?

I heard your car at CED.. not going to lie, I love your car and everything you have done BUT your exhaust made me want to cry/punch babies.. there's a difference between aggressive and completely obnoxious.. i cant imagine how the stock straight pipe sounded if you think thats mellow
