dashdaq 1/4 mile

ok people with dashdaq who have done 1/4 mile runs using it, is it accurate? mine doesnt seem right. my stock and tuned trap speeds are not what they should be.

I know i have speed signal from the speed sensor, but the distance sensor is set to non so it says distance dependant on speed, which doesnt seem like it would be accurate. but i cant get it to work any other way, with gps it doesnt work, what do u guys have it set to?

i been digging and well apperently everyone else iv read on says its not doing 1/4 right, so how do i measure without going to a track? who has a stop watch?

yep, it wont factor wheel spin in, and considers wheel spin as you covering more ground rather than spinning on the same patch of ground.

well i took it out for a test, used car computer to see if distance was on, and it is right, so ya i agree with u guys. i just did a stock run and i got my times from like 15.5 @ 98 to 14.8 at 102, so its a combo of dashdaq and me sucking on launch. lol i must practice.

whoever told me that ur trap speed never changes is full of crap, unless thats at the track cause it sure changes with this thing.

I've only used that program once on mine. I've got both the speed and distance tied to the VSS, like you though. I'll pay closer attention next time and post up if I notice anything out of the ordinary.

Your stock vs tuned trap speeds are really close using that thing. You could always try to find a real track to test out its accuracy. You should be able to trap at least 108 tuned even on a terrible launch.
