Dataloging question

Hey everyone,

When I datalog my car, it won't show me afr, knock retard, boost, VE airflow, excam angle, intcam angle, load or iat2 data.

How come? Is there something I need to do so it will show this stuff?

Are you talking about HP Tuners? You need to configure the scanner & config files. Many in the repository in the HPT forum 4 cyl section. Shabby has a good one to build upon there.

Yeah I'm talking about hp tuners. I snagged up the config that byt had in the thread on how to tune an lnf....I see why it didn't show anything. That's because with all those things listed above, there's no pid or sensor connected with the label.

Also when I checked the dtcs, it shows incomplete for catalyst, 02 sensor and evap system....isthat normal?

Pretty much. HPT isn't plug & play. Hope your in for a learning curve. Best to join that forum. Even if you download someone elses config file, you still have to build the custom PID's up. There are ways around it though.

You going to tune yourself or get an email tune done?

Get an email tune for now, then eventually tune myself.

Making pids, how do I make one for boost knock and afr?

You have a lot to learn. Start by reading the how to's on the HPT forum.

I'm afraid I'd have to write a book for you to get it set it up. The info you seek is there already and in the help files.

Here's a link to Shabby's config & the PID's you need to add. Then you can customize the charts as you wish but the table has to include the PID's first.
