Dear Vince at Trifecta
I Would like E-85 now that gas is an arm and a leg. Plz figure out the puzzle soon so I can put more money into your pocket and less into oil companies.
Thanks,
Geoff
Thanks,
Geoff
i didn't think our stock fuel system could support the fuel pressure that is needed for e85 ? idk if that's true or not. plus i thought that was the whole reason zzp did a second fuel rail?
I've been able to flow enough at 2800 psi to get to about 70% E in colder weather. Any more than that and I pop a low fuel rail pressure CEL, happened last week at 75% E and 40* IAT2's.
Bigger injectors will mean we need larger fuel pumps, or at least one of them me thinks. I tried backing off the midrange load a bit but had the same issues, fully bolted LNF btw. 45% injector DC ftl.
I can do 60% all year long, even in sub zero weather but it isn't any faster than the 1:1 blend (47%).

I get that it works out to be the same.. and I'm not all that smart when it comes to E85 and tunes and all that.. so correct me if i'm wrong.. but if I could run E85, use more fuel, come out to about the same cost overall.. but have more whp/wtq.. I'm not seeing a downside here..

lol... im listening in as well... my ma has an 08 impala w/ the flex fuel availability, and i wanna know about spending a lil less on the fuel per gallon wise but obtain alot more whp
