Dejon CAI????

So I am thinking of getting the Dejon short ram air intake..... I want the Hahn CAI but my water/meth kit will interfere with the Filter under the head light. Anyone have the Dejon? What quality is it? Worth a penny? The only thing I am worried about is that it will suck in hot air from the engine bay.

Here is a pic of my Water/Meth......and thoughts? I do not want to relocate it. I might sell it though.....depends though, water/meth is insane with a tune

Well, it took me 4 day, it sat like that for 4 days, lol. I worked from 5 am to 6pm so I had maybe 30 minutes of day light left each day, plus the bug were really bad, but the install itself was easy...... I think the hardest parts were running the wire for the arming switch inside the cab, taping the nozzle hole in the crappy plastic (coldside) IC piping, And trial and error with adjusting the settings........ pretty easy though, the most you need is a small socket and ratchet set, wire cutters/strippers, cross/flat tipped screw driver.....

Oh, and getting the tune right, I'm sure trifecta can do it right though

i have a dejon sri. i like it. i have actually been tossing the idea around of selling it though and getting a cold air. question tho, never heard of water/meth before being on this site, hows it work exactly? short lil answer would be great. but anyway, the dejon sri isnt bad. the only real complaint i have is i wish it had a bracket that would attach to those poles that stick up for the stock airbox caz the dejon has a lil play in it.

Water/meth (50/50%) is injected close to your throttle body. Its cools down the inlet temps by 20 degrees or more Fahrenheit. It also boosts your octane, so all in all much like a 50 or 75 shot of nitrous without the wear and tear

the dejon intake is only ever shown like 2% error verses the rest of them...... cold air intakes you tend to get more out of though rather then the short ram but dejon does make a really nice piece.

Thinking about the Dejon CP as well, but I'm not too sure I like the piece coming right off the turbo, looks small

no codes, sound is nice. probably not QUITE as pernouned sound as a CIA but makes a huge difference in sound. i have a lil clip of the sound of the bpv after i installed it. ill post it up for you.

from in the cabin it you get more of nice sounding air rush/turbo spool than anything. it a nice piece overall. i think if your gonna keep the meth kit youd be happy with this. that meth kit looks really nice tho, it kinda has me wanting one i just know nothing about it.

I only have 2 pics right now, and thats when I was installing it... I have the control module out right now, along with all the wiring, plumbing, and vacuum. I will more than likely re-install it once I get my cruise control fixed by the dealership....It has to do with the ECM so I have to wait and get it fixed before I put it back on and tune it..... When I have time later I do a write up in this thread on how I installed it, I will do a full "how to" with pics when I reinstall it

Heres some picutres of mine. Real easy to install. It sounds great...like others have said after starting the car while its high idling, all you can hear is the intake sucking air...its great.(i can even hear it from inside my house.) While driving the sound of the intake and turbo spooling is excellent. At low boost (5-10psi) when you let off the throttle it makes a sweet woosh sound, at high boost (10psi +) when you let off it makes a hard core blow off sound...its great.

As far as sucking warm air, I was concerned about that too but heres two reasons why it doesnt matter:

1.) Intercooler... even if you have an actual CAI getting cold air in, once its compressed in the turbo its going to heat up anyways. Thats why we have intercoolers, it will be cooled off either way.

2.) I havent noticed it really sucking hot air. After a while of hard driving I popped the hood and felt the intake...it still felt cold. The original airbox had a tube connected to the bottom of it that runs into the same location that a CAI would in the fender. This tube funneled air into the stock airbox. When you remove your stock airbox this tube remains and still funnels cold air to where your SRI filter will be sitting anyways if that makes you feel better. Either way the intercooler will take care of it for you.

Hope this helps. And BTW, I also have the Dejon BPV spring, so that attributes to the change in sound I have as well. All-in-all I say go with it, I love it and have no regrets. Dejon=

Heres two videos as well...(Fair warning my friends get a little OVER excited haha)

Yah he likes to say "So nasty".... haha
