Same...and I'm rocking the Stock Contis this winter...it's not bad...but by no means would I recommend it to the unfamiliar driver (Living in North-east OH your whole life...you learn to drive in the snow pretty quick). You certainy have to plan ahead for things and take it easy when it gets bad...luckily this winter hasn't been too severe and the only times it was bad the plows have done very nice jobs...so thanks to them I saved myself 600+ dollars on tires this winter ...fingers crossed winter will end early this year.

Are the contis all season or summer tires? I love my Toyo proxes4's in the snow.

I believe they are considered "3 season"...but either way they are not all season and certainly not meant for any sort of snow driving...I'm just a dare-devil...and cheap...

I did pretty much the same thing on bald nittos a few weeks ago. I finally had to cave in and get some tires.

that's why there called "summer tires". I tried to do a burn out off the parking lot from work in the snow and the tires go exactly where you don't want it to go, but it was awsome experience, but wouldn't recommend it. I would get the Continental ExtremeContacts for all seasonal it would grip a lot better then the stocks. I'm sure my Falken's 512's could handle it in my old SS/SC. That would be some awsome experience with a supercharger equipped with so much tq. All I'm thinking in my mind is drifting in the snow, since this fourm was created.
