Don't know if anyone has built one, but I know had one for my supra, and would love one for the slobalt... I would like to have a divorced downpipe with 02 dump for the stock turbo. Anyone have any ifno on one?

Not to be a dick, Ok wait so I am, the search button does wonders. there are several options on the market, ZZperomance makes one, Clear Image, MXp....

I'm going with the ZZperformance.com one personally

If I understand you correctly you are looking for a downpipe for the stock turbo that has an external dump. I haven't heard of any for sale but I think ZZP fabbed one up so they may be able to do a custom job for you. Personally I don't understand why one would want this setup. If its a stock turbo, its probably not a race car and its awfully loud to be driving around on the street with an external dump. If you like the sound from time to time, an electronic or manual cutout welded in may be a better solution for you.

Yeah they don't make those for our cars. Wow that's 2 downpipe threads by new people in one day! posted less than 5 hours apart!! That's gotta be a record...

The loud noise is only under boost, and its something I like, I am going to push the little turbo on our cars as far as it will go.

whats the point of having a dump, when you can just already dump it to the exhaust... seems useless if you factor in a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust..

A divorced downpipe is just like having an external waste gate with an 02 dump, it only is loud when you reach full boost and the wastegate is open.

I think people are confusing an electric cutout on the downpipe and a divorced downpipe.

A lot of cars came with an O2 Housing after the Turbo and before the DP (this was a seperate peice) and this is where the wastegate would dump into and it would merge with the rest of the exhaust gasses and go to the downpipe it was possible to buy an O2 housing with an external dump but everytime the wastegate opened up it would be loud as **** lol. A divorced downpipe is a downpipe that just has a small usually 1" tube that dumps exhaust gasses just from the wastegate when it opens (ie. once the turbo hits the correct amount of boost). And no I don't think there are any DP's like that available for our cars.

External dump sounds completely OEM under normal driving.

Would be awesome to have something like that. Not sure how our cars are setup, but maybe the elbow connecting turbo to the downpipe could be replaced with one that has external dump? Not much space there, though...

Thats the great thing, you don't need much space, i'm sure one of our supporting vendors could develop the downpipe elbow we would need. they simply split the flange between where the wastegate flap is and the turbine of the turbo is, so in theory you don't use much more space.

the second link is a divorced downpipe that is routed back into the exhaust, the only difference about what I am talking about is the smaller pipe is not routed back into the dp, it is simply routed open air so when the waste gate opens it gets loud.

Ya but while your in cat warm up the waste gate is open. My car is 3x louder just idling during this period. Thats with a catless dp through the stock exhaust. Once the car is warm it goes back to stock like sound levels

Why don't you pm someone like ZZP and see if they'd be interested. I think it would be cool, but if it's louder than what I have now than no thanks lol.

Catalytic converter warm up. No way to remove that through HPTuners.

Correct. During the warm up the waste gate is open(I dont know how far its opened, im sure not 100%) it holds the motor at like 1100rpm and retards the timing for a late burn. All im saying is if your trying to do an external dump for the waste gate its gonna be fairly loud in the morning. Im sure my neighbors wouldnt like that at 5:30am
