driver side mirror

so this guy was driving slowly in the passing lane on a bike today and wouldnt let me pass slower traffic, so i waited for my opertunity and took it and maybe cut him off a little. He follows me and when we stopped by the light, askes me why i cut him off, doesnt let me say anything and punched my mirror and busted the glass. then he made a quick getaway. so how do i replace it and if i have to get a new mirror, how do i dissconect it? Cobalt ss/tc

i had to replace mine. if its just the mirror part u can order that. just pull the other one off kinda and then push the new one on. or if u need to replace the whole mirror like i had to u if u take the door panel off and the tweeter part theres 2 bolt holding it on. very easy to replace

Your wiring harness for the mirror runs inside of the door (inside of the water barrier). Removing the door is straight forward, but it can be difficult to dislodge the panel clips the first time. Using a trim panel tool (large one) and sliding it between the back of the panel and the door will make it easier. After you take of the panel, look in the upper right hand corner (around the tweeter) for the harness. You may find that it is located behind a slit in the barrier, but more than likely it is actually behind it. Simply peel back the corner to access. The only thing to be careful of is getting the barrier adhesive all over everything or getting dirt in the adhesive. Usually you can simply reattach the barrier when finished by pressing firmly. I think that the mirrow screws are located inside of the door panel. You will probably have to have your window rolled up to access them, but it should be straight forward. I hope this information helps...

Save yourself the labour charge. once the old glass is removed from the front of the plastic plate on the motor the new glass mirror just snaps on into the holes with alligator clips which are on the back of the new mirror. a two minute job
