Dyno results are in
Well just got back from a dyno down here in southern Florida. my 2009 cobalt ss' Current mods are GMS1, K&N Intake, MPX lightweight pulley, Catess downpipe, and Devils Own Meth injection kit.
drum roll pls
191 WHP. Yes you read that right folks. After 3 pulls in 3rd gear up to 6,500 RPMs and 22PSI. I came in with an amazing 191 HP with 275 LBs of torque. According to the Dyno I am running way to lean and is entering limp mode. His reccomendation is an HP tune for 400 bucks. So what do you guys think about that?

The gms1 does run a bit on the lean side but something isn't right here. Either the guy running the dyno is totally sandbagging you into buying a tune from him, or something is mechanically wrong with the car.
Post your dyno graph if you can.

Yea we need more info here. If you have no other tuning and just a gms1 the. You should be just fine. Unless of coarse you went to someone that knows nothing ofthe di in these cars and thinks 12.8-13.0 is lean. Get rid of that lightweight pulley as well. Next step would be going to a different dyno/tuner.

I dyno'ed with GMS1 and K&N SRI. 3 runs and best hp run was 220 whp and 219 lb.ft. and best torque run was 216 whp and 233 lb.ft. the guy told me something is wrong and suggested a plugged cat but the car seems to run fine and the cat wasn't plugged. the first graph was a little rough but the second two look perfectly fine. I would make sure nothing is wrong with the car and if everything checks out and your fuel trims are good, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Ehh meth is kinda pointless without a tune. It will lower you iat's but there's really not much of a point with just a gms1. Hopefully the op can post a dyno graph though.

that should be an easy gauge for ya to know if your car is running properly. if he is blowin you away, then your car is broke because you should be able to beat him.

If it seems to run fine and you think it pulls good. (better than stock) I have to believe it's the dyno. There shouldn't be anything fishy with the tune. It's not like you had some joe blow tune it. It's a GMS1.
No codes? No messages displayed?
I'm going to run meth/water but purely just as a safety net. I won't spray too much. I'm seeing (calculated) EGT's greater than 1,800 if I stay on it for long. I just want to cool it down a bit.

if you leave esc on when dynoing, the car starts to cut out and run like **** and it's very obvious there is a problem... ask me how i know haha so i doubt this is the OP's problem.
