Dynoed Last Night

Put down 500whp and 397wtq on a bone stock LNF Motor (valvesprings only).

Big Thanks to ZZP for the S256et Turbo Kit. Matt M is the best resource for advice, period. Thanks for answering all my emails.

Thanks to Powell for the 4.45 Trans. My stock trans blew on the dyno earlier this year.

My tuner is a god (SSKev or OntarioKev). I DO NOT have a fuel cam. We ran close to running out of fuel, but we pulled it out with some tuning work.

I wanted to turn it up to 32 psi, but we don't have fuel.

Exhaust leak is hampering spool and not giving full torque down low. I'll fix that for next year.

Once agian, my motor is stock!

The S259 is the future, no messing with those worse turbo's such as the 25G

Also he plans on getting the 2.1 ZZP block when he switches to the S259 if you didn't make sense of that.

LOL, The 25g wasn't bad. I just couldn't get it to work right with my car... :/

Great numbers! Its nice to see some stock motor people willing to push it. My friend's LNF is 24whp shy of you and going strong stock motor!

Thanks guys!

I know i'm going to get flamed for this - but I'm not a believer that the boost is the culprit. The cause is simple - detonation. The stock motor can't take as much as a built one. It's about running the turbo in the meat of the efficiency range and using proper fuel according to how demanding your spark table is.

I think in your case cmiller8006 - with your forged pistons and Gen 2 your sleeve cracked because it was the weak point. In the stock motor my pistons and rings are the weak point and would go first. In yours the sleeves were. I think 34psi was too much for the 5857 imo. I don't know if you noticed detonation, but I bet that you were and the pressure had nowhere to go but to crack a sleeve. I have noticed 32psi on the s256et creates alot of heat and it starts detonating. We kept it at 29psi, and there is a little blip where it goes to 30.

We are talking about one pull wonder tunes - not something demanding like a road course obviously.

The tune is everything!

Just my two cents.

Oh that's on c 16? That will help a little lol. I was on e85. It was about 32 psi. But you are correct, detonation will kill the motor but the stock rings are gapped very narrow to be making a lot of heat in there, that's were I am going with my statement. If the rings are gapped proper I think the stock pistons will do just fine for a long time.

It's not c16, it was 116 unleaded that is specialty created. I think in some of the motors they were actually gapped not correctly from the factory.

Nice, torque number is awful low though. Should be a bit closer. Might be the lack of fuel or just the fuel period. Prob could have gained 70 wtq or better on E85.

*Edit: nvm I see you said it had a decent exhaust leak.

I love it. It's the ultimate street turbo IMO. Very little lag. I can boost the **** out of it and I can put down 500whp. I can detune it and run 20psi and have an epic road course tune that puts down 350whp reliably which is a handful at the track. It's the best of all worlds imo.

Full spool is supposed to be 3.9k but i have a big exhaust leak. It'll be fixed for next year. Car's going sleepy time.
