I just went to the hardware store and got bag of 6 #10 Fender washers incase I needed to shim my green spring. They fit right in the cap.







Just thought I'd spread the word.

I gotta tell you, I'm using one of those washers with the green spring and its holding boost right at 22 psi compare to before that it was only reading 19 psi without it. So I felt the dif immediately. My statement is not 100% accurate till I take my car back to the dyno and find out for sure if it reads the full 22 psi. Ill be dyno'ing the car next Monday wen I get my new cat-back installed.

does anyone have a vid of this flutter? my car makes like a rattle snake noise the odd time when im building boost on stock bpv and i also was running the dejon spring before untill i was getting a cel(no engine light) so i pulled it out but dint notice anything strange noises...any ideas?

 

That's flutter, lol just type in surge in youtube and something will pop up lol.

 

lol i notice it like when its like 160F basically just before full temp., how do i stop it even know it does it on stock BPV and only sometimes tho?

 

I was getting blow off surge or flutter with dejon, I didn't notice boost building surge or flutter. Wonder if their both dangerous

No idea, but a fella in another thread said blow off flutter is different. It went uncontested so I thought it must have been true.

 

Unsure the difference, But was probably from the dejon spring, other than that dude how's your car running you ever get all that stuff straightened out?

 

yeah well i went into the dealer tuned and i had like 7 cels but no light, so they took them down and i made a appointment one of the cels was the bpv stuck and misfires, anyways after that i took it to my tuner and got flashed back to stock, went in on my appointment wit these leak down results that they gave me which was like 30% on one cylinder, which the motor would be shot. so they were like wtf to how did this pass wit a max spec of 25%, so i dropped it off there and they did another one which they did it and came back wit 3 or 4% leak down on that cylinder cant remeber off hand, in the end the motor is fine and i ditched my tuner and went wit the stage 1 been problem free since then but i do remeber this raddle snake noise

pantherqs...and after i told him they fucked up the results hes like there lieing so lets shoot it wit a 100 shot.....and im like ummm noo...but im glad its okay i was goin to sell the car
