you'd be fine at 400 on a stock motor

lol that's weird, how many miles?

ARP headstuds
gm rod and main bearings
you could def do oem pistons/rods if your only looking for under 400, or do wiseco pistons/zzp rods
CED deluxe timing chain kit
main girdle bolts

pull the motor and get the bores honed to the pistons tho

Solve that question before you do anything else. No sense pouring a pile of cash on big power parts only to watch them melt down too.

Honestly if you're not to mechanically inclined I would have a Mechanic look at it or see if someone you know has experience with engines. Good luck at finding out the issue.

at very least youll need:

new rod+piston
full ring set
gm rod bearings
gm main bearings
hone the bores of block
arp headstuds or gm headbolts
main girdle bolts
head gasket

total would prob be <$1000 with machine work, this assumes that it really is a piston and you didn't crack a sleeve. but I would call that a pretty fair assumption

I understand that, that's why I said something about a Mechanic or a friend with some knowledge. Unless you get an answer here.

Also if you only want 400 hp then just get a drop out set of rods and pistons from zzp. They have ldk stock drop outs for 200 I think
