Engine Power Reduced

what causes this...just happend yesterday...dont wanna drive it to the shop and screw anything else up if theres something seriously wrong...have a tune on it and last time it was in the shop they could tell there was a tune on it because it said it kept shutting off there system.

Mine was because a fuel solenoid was broken. U don't have a spare ecu?

i had a few check engine codes up and the shop cleared them, and thats when they told me they couldnt figure out how to fix what it was bc the system kept shutting down...but after they cleared them the CEL didnt come on for about 2 weeks, and it came on the day before all this happend

no i dont think that will work, because it already been messed with..i mean the settings can go back to stock but the gm program will still shut down bc its been messed with...and even if it would work..i moved to NY and my tuner was in NC

already checked that...when it happend i wasnt even at full boost...it skipped like i misfired and then like 5 seconds later i lost all power

Check fuel pressure sloeniod number one the wires next to the charge piping... my wires were sliced I did was wrapp it up in electrical tape tuen put a piece of rubber there so there is no friction cause it....

When you clear the code and drive it, does it build any boost at all before giving you the code?

the only time i cleared it was when it was in the shop a few weeks ago..and it wasnt for the reduced engine power...after it was cleared and even before it was cleared it was running 25lbs strong until the reduced power happend..and i havent had it checked since then

so the shop says that it is the secondary fuel pump..or some stupid **** like that...worked it out and they are covering it under warrenty..lucky me

same problem in LSJ right now... runs strong and then misfires and a couple seconds later i get the engine power reduced message... never happened before. just got car back from dealership for new cat... (recal)

so they replaced my direct injection pump, and now its running good..i lost 5 lbs of boost tho..sucks..

Well, thats interesting. I lost a bit of boost after they replaced my HPFP also. No idea what happened. Now that the weather's nicer I'm gonna tear some **** down and see what's going on.

yea im prolly just gunna get a new dyno tune done..i moved from NC to NY so i cant really just pop into my old shop so they can play with my car.
