pointless thread. cobalt is faster. You'd have to dump $3500 in the 350z to make it equal to a tuned cobalt SS/TC

Pointless thread

Cobalt will walk all over the 350z, if it isn't boosted then don't waste the gas..

Technically the 350z from 04 would win.

2004 Nissan 350Z 5.3 13.77 (M.T. Mar '04)

To what the tc 13.9. Be a really good stock to stock race.

here is the better comparison:

bolt-on/tune LNF Cobalt>Bolt-on/Tune 370Z>Bolt-on/tune HR 350Z>Bolt-on/tune '04 350Z

stock for stock, makes great talk for a magazine article, but most people racing........aren't bringing a stock car

its why I laugh at people who compare their cars to a "stock" '03 Cobra, "stock" LS1 f-body, etc... not many of those cars actually race, the people that do race their cars... don't bring stock ones

A nismo 370z has a rating of like 350 or so crank HP and a 6spd but from what I have seen not much better than a 370z but a few bolt ons and tune. Might take a stock SS/TC since I haven't tried to race him in the cobalt yet. I know Bedford the cam in my A4 heavy 98 TA with about 350whp I let him get a jump from a 50 and then let the car down shift and walked right by it like nothing. The new camaro SS isn't any better m6 with over 420 crank HP and from 60 to 130 I slowly walked away no cam and a A4. He was at my door by 120. The cobalt being lighter if tuned should have no problem taking a stock SS, modded 350 or a nismo 370.

The TC is certainly faster stock, and mod for mod.

The 350's are still sick cars though. I love the styling and they sound incredible. I wanna buy one, slam it and put on some ridiculous wheels and just cruise! haha

You a 350/370 fanboi or something? Stock for stock down a 1/4 mile a 370 should win, but it's really a drivers race. Light mods on each car and the LNF should pull the 370 hard.

Not a fan of the 350/370 cars at all but the question was which one was faster stock in the 1/4. TC was a 13.9 and the 04 350 was 13.7 so any guy with a brain would have to give to win on this to Nissan. Of course any type of mods on a tc would blow it away and stock to stock it would be a really good drivers race.

Where are you getting these numbers from? I have seen them run faster and slower and i'm not nut huggin either. I think the fastest Tc is 13.5 but that's not common..
