There's a how to for symmetrical exhaust with the stock 2.0 bumper and it looks pretty good IMO.

Why not just replace the stock exhaust with one BIG sewer pipe - say in the 3" range?

It'd be easier to install, plus it will be lighter than 2 pipes, and probaly flow just as well.

because dualies are just.... sexy. lmao. even though its almost impossible to make a real dual exhaust because you have to like "T" into the other pipe and almost always more flows out of the left than the right. iv heard an ss/sc with dual and it sounded really nice. like...i was very suprised how much different and deeper the exaust sounded. I figure on an SS/TC it would be cool to do because you can really free up you exhaust by going pretty much straight pipe all the way back and get a better sound out of a 4 banger. personally ill keep 1 cat though

having a dual exhaust on a 4 banger is just pointless.

easier to just to a Y splitter right after the DP and run the pipes from there. i wont run straight pipes tho bc im catless. Catless+Straight pipes+2.0=terrible

and dual exhaust is not pointless on a turbo DI.

especially when more HP is being pushed.

you would have to run the pipes side by side pretty much all the way back becasue of the spare tire. i mean whatever works its still nice

You're still pushing all of the exhaust through one turbocharger/downpipe, so yeah, dual exhaust is pretty much pointless from a performance standpoint. One large exhaust pipe would do the job.

Though, with the right muffler/cat combonation, one large pipe could have a deep, mellow tone.

i want to go with a catless setup or a cat punched out for inspection reasons.. but i want it to stay almost dead quiet at idle and around 2-3k because i drive 5 hours aday i got the camaro to be loud.. but i still don't want to lose out on any performance by any means

It is pointless to put dual exhaust on any vehicle equipped with an inline 4-cylinder engine. End of discussion. The only good dual exhaust system is one that is a true-dual exhaust system with the piping running from each exhaust bank to the rear of the car.

IIRC, BMW did run true-duals on their inline 6 cylinder engines. 3-to-1 and true dual all the way back.

Ask any car guy, any real car guy...dual exhaust on a four cylinder is only adding weight to your car...

IMHO you are correct from a performance standpoint but as far as sound is concerned duals with two small resonators should sound like sex.

IMHO my car sounds so much meaner without the cat. It really screams when you get on it but it does not drone that much. My Mustang and GTO were really irritating on the hwy and they had cats.
