FF_ace's LNF motor build

so like the title says im pulling the motor and building it up. Im starting the build 12/20/10. SCcobaltSS and smthomas556 will be helping with the build. heres the parts list

Wiesco forgered pistons with swaintech goldcoat on the domes and PC-9 on the skirts
carrillo H-Beam Rods with carr mulitphase bolts
SPEC stage 3+ w/ lighter flywheel
Bearing kit 12591093
ARP Head Stud Kit 231-4701
ZZP 78# Valve Springs
Head gasket 12589346
Intake gasket 12589366
Exhaust gasket 12599787
Valve cover gasket 12609291
Honing Brush

Neutral Balance Shafts. ZZP sells some good ones. GM does too but they're way more money and take longer to get.

Find someone that can port the head.

These two things are absolute musts.

Nice. Looks like mine but I am going with k1 rods. Are you going to get the rotating assembly balanced? My buddie and I are doing mine.

ZZP went back to a regular head and make plenty of power, I don't think a port job is needed.

Also all the bolts that hold the crank in say they are torque to yield and should be replaced.

Nick, you can get those from Chevy, not sure of other places to buy them. I think they were 4 dollars a bolt...

Double check me, but I am pretty sure. I was just glancing through some stuff and thought I seen that. I think ced has them for like 30 or so. I haven't bought bolts yet.

Well there are 20 of them so if they are 30 I got fucked. haha

The main bolts are TTY I am sure of that. I dont think the ten others on the outside of the cradle are...


Edit: I guess the 10 are TTY..

The LNF is a 4 bolt main like the LSJ right?

Ecotec Main Girdle Bolt 11588733 - Crate Engine Depot

And 11519783, they dont have it on the website.. I think these are the 20 mains.. Not positive though.

The LNF is a 4 bolt main like the LSJ right?
I am going over to the shop tomarrow hopfully. I will check price for me and see if I could get them cheaper. I will pm you and let you know.

Cool. Sounds good. Let us know right away because if we are starting this in a week we need to get those ordered ASAP so we can put this all back together...

I think it was stock turbo with a different tune pre E85 and pre meth.

ok thanks cmiller i will order the bolts today. i going to be going with a precision 5857 looking for 500hp. 13.0 @ 110 was what i did last year on a pyskosteve tune and bolt ons i put down 305/350 before switching to terminator/trifecta tune and e85 with methanol injection now im putting down 351/393 and my stock clutch is slipping bad.

Can anyone chime in. I have read on the Wiseco site that the piston rings provided with the pistons are pre gapped, can anyone confirm?
