Flutterdumping

Hey is this bad for our cars?

is it capable for our cars to do this?

I would rather have this sound than the purging or loud squeaky BOV. So I wasnt sure if this was capable or good for the car?

any thoughts?

ok I wasnt sure. I really like that sound for the turbo.

but all flutter dumping is. is the BOV is opening a lil late. so the turbo is fluttering.

but still. idk if it is good.

or possible on the LNF

Opening the BOV a little late is probably not good because some airmass will slam into the turbine causing it to slow down or possibly stall.

If you time it just right maybe it is ok, but wait a little too long and the airmass will definately slam into the turbine backwards. That is never a good thing.

It's not good. Get a atmospheric BOV.

Better yet recirculate your BOV. It will be less obnoxious and you A/F will stay constant.

Why would you want to install a BOV on a LNF anyway? Isnt that how the no lift shift operates by recirculating the air?

1.) The sound it makes.
2.) It doesn't blow off when your NLS.....

Correct. The compressor is surging because the BOV is opening too late and all the airmass trapped in the charge pipe is slamming into the turbine backwards.
