also my other friend has a evo9 and is so cocky and ****..hes got intake, catback and i think no cats, and im wondering 09 sstc with dp and a tune from paul .... who do you think would win?

I just ran an evo 8 last night with an evo 9 turbo, Intake, Cams, Full turbo back exhaust, Street tune.

He was only able to get me by about a full car from a 40 roll twice. Both of us were brake boosting.

My SS/TC makes 295/350.

probably low 300's hp/350ish tq. maybe a little more than that. from a roll he should pull an evo.

arent the evo 8's faster than the 10's?

I made 295 wheel with a ZZP Catless downpipe, Injen intercooler pipe, 20 PSI Tune, Drop in filter and a muffler delete.

Trifecta didn't tune my car it has a real dynotune.

DP and a tune will bring about 290 whp and 335 wtq to the table.... Low 300's hp and 350 ish tq is wishfull thinking.....Full bolt-ons and the tune may give 305-310 whp and 345-350 wtq......

Really???? I've only got a DP and Injen upper charge pipes and managed to generate 301 whp and 380 wtrq before the clutch broke loose between 4100 and 4400 (nowhere near where peak hp comes in) and looking at the dyno sheet you could see the slip actually start at 3700. All this off of trifecta's select-a-tune at 25 psi. once the new clutch is in i'll post the new dyno sheet on the same set-up I have the current sheet saved on my home desktop or else i'd go ahead and post it.

even stock for stock the tc should be close or even beat the evo10 from a roll, they have awd, and 290 crank hp, which means they will probably have less to the wheels than the tc cobalt. Off the line it would kill a cobalt, but from a roll the awd is its disadvantage at stock.

AWD sucks from a roll. You will beat him.

oh wow, you've done alot in the past few months! holy crap, when you going to the track again? and how did you do the cam timing adjustment? just adjust the chain? or did you find cam gears with adjustable sprockets.

In regards to the Cam timing; just changed a degree or two in certain areas of the power band through HP tuners. Didn't really go into the chain itself (literally).

I'll prob be going back down to the track within the next couple weekends (finally getting cool outside) so I'm hoping to see low 13's.

Stock vs stock I lost to my buddy's Evo X-MR from a slow roll (20mph) by less than a car length consistantly (did a couple pulls). He had his 'Sport/Race' mode engaged. We didn't have time to test any other rolls.
Warning... MIVEC is ******* LOUD.

I'm confident with a half decent tune, you'd pull an EvoX and depending on his setup an Evo IX from a roll. Wrong Wheel Drive still sucks from a digg though.

Hope this helps...

It also depends on the Evo. I have a friend I airsoft with in NC with an Evo X GSR and stock for stock we were dead even through 3rd until about 5k rpms then I started to inch away. Tuned, and a K&N and Muffler delete, I raced another friend of mine in my company with his EVO-X MR with light mods and a tune (probably a crappy one), and the two of us ran 13.3's. So again, it depends on the Evo and starting speed. I think from a roll, with a tune and minor bolts ons for you, and this guy with just a DP and tune, I think you'll pull away from him.

Maybe last year all you could get was 300 whp 350 wtrq out of one of these cars but not now. You would not believe the power some are making now. 400 wtrq and 350 whp is possible once you take some of the ECMs power away. ZZP made 416 wtrq on the stock turbo.

It looks just like a turbo diesel's dyno graph. Huge peak torque at 3500-4000 then it falls off up top. My tune with a MBC on someone elses car made 350 whp 392 wrtq. Not bad for a little KK-04 turbo. I am going to hit the dyno soon to see what I can get out of my car at 24 psi. Hey, they ran a 11.9 at 114 MPH.

Agreed! With just a tune and K&N, I had just under 300whp (dyno'd). 1BadBlueberrySC made more than me with the same mods and a slightly better tune. He made over 300, with just a tune and K&N. So yes, it is possible to get much more out of just a tune than most people think.

Evo X's are slow stock. but they respond very well to mods. from a roll my old MS3 would have murdered my Evo X. but thats it, everything else the Evo kicks the MS3 ass.
